Coalition map: who stands with whom

Each actor's latest signed stance per claim (speeches, votes and own-words sources) splits the debate on its most contested claim. Node size = breadth of record; dashed green links are bridges — the strongest cross-camp agreement, where brokers work.

Bridges — cross-camp brokers

Pairs on OPPOSITE sides of the dividing claim who agree on much else. +5/−1 means: same position on 5 other claims, opposite on 1. High agreement across the divide marks the persuadable — and the persuaders.

Method: Discourse Network Analysis over Hansard, recorded divisions and the actors' own published words (gov.uk, GMCA, verified Bluesky). Stances are the actor's latest signed position per claim, confidence-gated; every underlying statement is quote-backed and dated in the Policy Watch database. Positions can change — earlier stances remain on record. Internal demo; not for redistribution.
